Bittersweet
Simply does the heart exist,
For the mind cannot see
Through the soul’s dense mist,
Love it has to be.
Vision impaired, all is well,
Beauty engulfs him still
With a gausian blur he cannot quell,
He is with her, ever tranquil.
A question to heaven, always why,
Mystery, magic, love so dear
To him the flower will never die,
Gilding the beauty his greatest fear.
I believe in her, she is bliss,
Beauty will not assent
And rise from her silver chrysalis,
Passion will not be spent.
Beauty succumbs to fates cruel hand,
Stolen by tradition, love runs
Through his grip like flowing sand,
Forever gone the stars and sun.
Born out of time,
The warrior a painful sigh
He gives to heaven, no more rhyme
Bittersweet, Bittersweet…Goodbye.
