The pain is of heaven, endured
The pleasure of hell, coveted.
I need, I accept.
Such is the burden of love.
I am breathless before her,
Searching for the star that is her heart.
Is she real?
Tortuous apparition, Rapturous vision.
Knowing there is no end, no light,
I fight the thunder.
The victory is bittersweet, the battle divine.
All I have ever wanted, ever needed.
I question, life answers, heaven grants, hell mocks.
Rage again.
Never can beauty hurt so when the soul is touched.
Angel’s tears cannot save the dying heart.
The sword falls, no victory, no prize.
Eternity will not provide again.
On wings of love she fly’s to the sun.
Freedom nevermore.
