J David Photography - Moonlight Serendipity

Moonlight Serendipity

Understand not the stars,

Just that they are there for passion’s sake.

Question only once the sun,

As it performs at daybreak.

Laugh boldly at the wind,

As it caresses your face.

Cry desperately to the Angels,

They alone know your place.

Listen to the whispers of the roses,

They sing of insurmountable loss.

Make alliance with rage,

For it shall bear your cross.

Wash your soul in burning moonlight,

Ripples of apathy across the sea.

Fortune smiles not on the reliable one,

Dancing with the whore…serendipity.

Speak the words that love demands,

Represent the righteous flame.

Accept what she says has transpired,

For love and pain are often the same.

Love her, cherish her,

Like nothing else before.

Plead for Joy softly,

For she may not be lonely anymore.
