Of Light and Joy
She was dream I had one day,
Of light and Joy.
When asked I could not truly say
What follies of this petulant boy.
This dream began in a strangers land,
No colors save for the brilliant grey.
I see the bodies of the angels and
Knew this was my end of days.
A battle was waged here,
Souls cracked as the baron earth.
Yet I’ve nothing to fear,
Nothing to give, nothing of worth.
I slept among the holy, the pure.
On ground that has seen to much blood.
Outstretched hand cannot reach the cure
No one shall remember where I stood.
Through a final tear I see,
The fluttering of a wing.
In my wasteland can it be,
The only soul for my saving.
I see her eyes to this day still,
With a smile on this still petulant boy.
I can only hope that I always will,
Have this dream of light and Joy
